A word from Bev...
Our motto at Kids Company is "Time to Grow".
My philosophy since 1988 is that every child needs very basic requirements for them to grow -
(by themselves and other times with people, time to catch up to big steps, time to discover)
space (to play, to realise their size and the size of the world)
activities at their level (enabling them to accomplish a task and feel good about it and themselves)
encouragement and praise (to help them extend themselves and know that others like what they do)
a clean environment
a loving and responsible caregiver who will honour the trust and love that pours from a child.
I hope that when your child leaves our centres they:
- Have enjoyed their stay
- Are growing towards independence
- Have a good self-esteem
- Have acquired social skills and display socially acceptable behaviour, and hence can survive in the playground at school and be able to make friends.
The staff and I are here to complement your care.
By working together, we can expand your child's world and give them social and developmental opportunities to promote their self-esteem.
